CENTRESTAGE- Asia’s Premier Fashion Event

CENTRESTAGE, Asia’s Fashion Spotlight, returns for its fourth edition from 4 to 7 September 2019 in Hong Kong’s iconic landmark - Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Over the three years since its inception, CENTRESTAGE has gained significant recognition from the fashion business world as an unparalleled platform to uncover promising Asian fashion brands, designer labels and talents for international markets.

As one of Asia’s signature fashion events connecting brands, buyers, media and fashionistas, last year’s edition played host to 230 fashion brands from 22 countries and regions, attracting 8,700 buyers from 80 countries and regions. Industry professionals and fashion buyers from department stores, boutiques, e-tailers and retailers are welcomed to take advantage of this one-stop platform and explore Asian fashion trends. The organiser, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, is expecting 240 brands to be on showcase at the coming edition.

Apart from the bustling fairground forging business connections and interactions, CENTRESTAGE promises an eventful lineup of enlightening talks, inspiring seminars and networking sessions to keep you abreast of market trends and intelligence; as well as captivating runway shows unveiling the latest designer collections from the region. About 40 activities were presented in 2018 over its four-day run, including more than 20 fashion shows.

The highly anticipated CENTRESTAGE ELITES Opening Gala Show on the first evening of CENTRESTAGE (4 September) once again marks the pinnacle of the event. This year’s show culminates on top-notch designers Anais Mak of ANAÏS JOURDEN and Joseph Altuzarra of ALTUZARRA to present their latest collections for the first time in Asia.

Another highlight of CENTRESTAGE will be the finals of The Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest 2019 (YDC). Over the years, the role of YDC has evolved alongside Hong Kong’s garment and fashion industries. It has become a launching pad for up-and-coming designers with the ambition to launch their own labels. One of the perks of joining YDC is the opportunity to meet and receive valuable advice from world-famous designers, who are invited to serve on the judging panel each year — Martine Rose, Kenzō Takada, Vivienne Tam, Tsumori Chisato, Andreas Kronthaler, Martine Sitbon and Margareta van den Bosch are among the big names as YDC’s VIP Judges. Renowned international designer Mihara Yasuhiro has been invited as the VIP judge this year. Mr Yasuhira will come to Hong Kong in September and, together with an esteemed panel of judges comprising senior fashion industry figures and media representatives, will help to select the YDC 2019 winners.
